UC Center Sacramento is pleased to announce Melody Ng (Urban Planning PhD candidate at UCLA), mentored by Dr. Kirsten Schwarz (Associate Professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Health Sciences at UCLA), received the Equity Framework Advancement Award to produce a white paper and policy brief on legislative equity analysis. 

The report summarizes how “equity” is defined in policymaking and reviews different models and methods for incorporating equity into legislative analysis. The report also provides a template and guide for conducting legislative equity impact assessments in the California legislature.
