The increasing use of tools that rely on artificial intelligence and big data in policing pose both opportunities for law enforcement and challenge for how we conceive of police in a democratic society. This talk will discuss examples of how police are using these tools, what lessons we have learned so far, and what regulatory questions have arisen.
