Talk by Dr. Aimee Moulin, Behavioral Health Director, Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine and Department of Psychiatry at UC Davis Health Medical Center.

This talk examines the evidence behind popular treatments for substance use disorders and explores reasons why people struggling with these conditions do not seek treatment.

We will outline common cycles of relapse and recovery among individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Relatedly, we will also discuss strategies to increase the number of people who would benefit from substance use interventions receiving treatment, as well as the odds that they continue with these programs after they initially begin.
