Emerging Scholars Award

Emerging Scholars Award for Excellence in

Research and Public Policy

 SUBMISSION PERIOD IS CLOSED FOR THE 2016 COMPETITION

The UC Center Sacramento announces its second annual Emerging Scholars Award for Excellence in Research and Public Policy. The award will recognize excellence in graduate student research with a direct impact on public policy. The recipients of the Emerging Scholars Award will receive a $500 prize and will deliver an invited policy lecture at the UC Center in summer 2016.

Submissions will be accepted through March 1, 2016 and should include:
• An abstract (250 words)
• Two page summary of paper
• Current CV
• Teaching evaluations from last two quarters/semesters
• Letter of recommendation from a supervising professor


Please submit all materials, letter of recommendation sent separately by professor, to
Ross Butters , with the subject line “Emerging Scholars Award.”
Past winners include Ann Hollingshead, MA, UC Berkeley and Cameron Sublett,
PhD, UC Santa Barbara.
