* Sacramento can be competitive when looking for an internship. Students who apply by the priority deadline will be placed in their internship sooner, when there are more internship openings available.

**Please note that end dates are flexible. Finals will be administered in advance, so if a student has reached his/her internship hours requirement, that student may move out on the date of his/her choice. This accommodates students from semester schools who wish to participate in the summer programs but must be back before the start of the semester.

2. Check your financial situation, though don't let the costs deter you! It's a wonderful opportunity to explore potential avenues in life, make friends, and network. If you receive financial aid then many of the costs will be covered and you may be eligible for further aid. Actual costs will vary based upon student needs. For an estimate of program costs go here.

3. Download the application form (application), fill it out and submit it to your local campus representative! Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader so you can save your progress. Overall, your application must include:

  • Completed Application Form
  • Resume* (see example Resume here)
  • Transcripts*
  • Faculty Endorsement Form + 2 References (see example reference sheet here)
  • Student Expectation Contract
  • Essay*

* See application form for more details

For extra help with generating your resume and two references, take a look at the examples linked above. Reference letters are not necessary to fulfill the application requirement. The references that you choose to include in your application should be two individuals (Professors, Supervisors, etc.) who can provide solid feedback regarding your work ethic.
